Local SEO · Local SEO services for the Google map packOwn the map around you.
Local search is a territory, not a keyword list. We track your rank on a 7 by 7 grid across every mile you serve, fix what the audit finds, and watch how the AI answers talk about you.
The problem, the product, the change.
A keyword rank is not a territory.
You rank third from your own office and fourteenth two miles away. One number hides that. The AI answers add a second map nobody is watching.
A grid, an audit, and a writer.
Forty-nine rank checks across the miles you serve, a nightly technical audit, listings kept correct, and pages proposed and published for your yes.
The map turns your color.
Rank moves at the edges, not just the center. The assistants start naming you. The morning brief says what moved and why.
Where you rank, street by street.
A typical map from month three: forty nine points around your address, each one a real search from that spot, read nightly by the crew.
Week six dipped when a competitor launched a new page. The crew rewrote two of yours and the rank came back in nine days.
The two in orange drifted this week. Corrections went out last night.
Checked weekly across the big assistants.
Twelve things it does every week.
Forty-nine rank checks across your territory, for every keyword that matters, on a schedule.
Speed, indexing, schema, broken links, duplicate titles. Every issue ticketed with a fix.
New service and area pages drafted from search demand, published to your site with a live check and rollback.
Name, address, hours and categories synced across the directories that matter, drift caught and reverted.
How often the assistants mention you for your category and city, and which pages they cite.
Structured data and an llms.txt so the assistants can read you the way they prefer.
New pages, new locations, rating moves. The crew tells you, then counters.
Rating and velocity feed the map. The crew keeps them flowing.
Weekly posts and fresh photos on your business profile, drafted for your yes.
What people actually search in your zip codes, found from your own data and the map.
Up, down or a competitor, you hear it first, in plain English.
Written for a phone. What moved, what we did, what is next.
What happens while you sleep.
One real evening, minute by minute.
- The crewCrawls the site. Two new broken links, one slow page. Tickets both.
- The crewRuns the grid. Lead keyword up two at the north edge, down one downtown.
- The crewA competitor published a new roofing page. Flags it with the weak spots.
- The crewDrafts a counter page and a rewrite of your service page. Queues for your yes.
- The crewThe brief: net movement plus 41, two tickets, one page waiting for approval.
Someone reads your map every night.
You will meet them soon. That is all we are saying for now.
Be first to meet them.
One email when the door opens. Nothing else.
This is what you open.
Plugs into what you already run.
Three people we built it for.
The owner who is "on page one" but not getting calls
Page one from your desk. Page three from the customer's couch. The grid shows the truth.
Gets: A territory you can see, fixes you approve, and pages that fill the edges.
The regional manager
Every location says its SEO is fine. None of them can show you a map.
Gets: One grid per location, one board for the group, and the weak territory obvious in a second.
The brand team
Forty territories, forty vendors, forty reports in forty formats.
Gets: One method, one report, one forecast band per territory, and the crew watching every one.
Week by week, who does what.
| When | What happens | Who does it | You approve |
|---|---|---|---|
| Week 1 | Connect the profile and console. Baseline the grid. Audit the site. | The crew | The keyword list |
| Weeks 2 to 4 | Fix the audit. Sync the listings. Ship the first two pages. | The crew, Site Connect | Each page before it goes live |
| Weeks 5 to 8 | Weekly posts and photos on the profile. Counter pages where competitors are weak. | The crew | The posts, the pages |

What local SEO is, and why the map pack decides local revenue
Local SEO is the work of making your business the obvious answer when someone nearby searches for what you sell. It is a different discipline from general search optimization. When a search has local intent, such as a service plus a city or simply "near me", Google stops showing a plain list of websites and shows a map with three business listings above everything else. That block is the map pack, and for most local businesses it is where the revenue is decided.
Think about how you use it yourself. A pipe bursts, you search, and you call one of the first businesses you see with plenty of recent reviews and a profile that looks legitimate. You do not scroll to compare ten websites, and neither do your customers. So the practical question is not how the website is doing. It is this: when someone in your service area searches right now, are you in those three results, and if not, who is?
Google decides that ranking on three broad factors: how relevant your business looks for the search, how close you are to the searcher, and how prominent your business looks, meaning how established and well reviewed it is. You cannot move your building closer to everyone who searches. You can control relevance and prominence, and that is where the whole discipline lives: a profile built out completely and accurately, a business record that matches everywhere it appears online, a review profile that keeps growing, and pages on your site that genuinely serve the places you work.
There is a newer layer on top. People increasingly ask an AI assistant instead of running a search, such as "who is the best roofer in Fort Worth" or "find me an orthodontist open Saturday." Those tools build their answers from the same signals: your profile, your reviews, your citations and the content on your site. Businesses with clean, consistent, well documented local presences get named. Businesses without one are left out of the answer, and the customer never sees a list to choose from.
Everything that decides whether you show up locally
Local visibility is not one task. It is a handful of things that have to be right at the same time and stay right, which is exactly why it slips when a busy owner handles it between jobs.
- Show up in the map pack: the three listings above the results take most of the local clicks.
- Own your service area: rank in the suburbs and neighborhoods you drive to, not only at your pin.
- Beat closer competitors: proximity matters, but relevance and reputation are what you can control.
- See where you stand: the map grid shows your position from 49 points across your area.
What is included in our local SEO services
Six pieces of work run together, and each one supports the others.
Google Business Profile optimization
Your Google Business Profile is the single highest leverage asset in local search, and most are half finished. We work through the primary and secondary categories, the services and products list, the business description, hours including holidays, service areas, attributes, photos, and the questions and answers section that competitors sometimes fill in for you. Then we keep it active, because a profile that changes signals a business that is open and operating.
Review generation and response
Reviews influence both your ranking and whether anyone calls after they find you. Requests go out automatically after a job, appointment or sale, at the moment a customer is most likely to respond. Every review gets a reply in your voice: thank-yous that mention the specific service, and measured, professional responses to criticism that show a future customer how you handle a problem.
Directory and citation sync
Your business details appear in far more places than you have ever visited: directories, apps, industry listings, and the data aggregators that quietly feed all of them. Old addresses, disconnected numbers and former business names linger for years. We find every listing, correct it, and keep them synchronized so they all describe the same business.
Local landing pages
If you serve six cities, you need pages that genuinely serve those six cities: real information about the areas, the work you do there and the questions customers in that market ask, not one page with the city name swapped out. Thin duplicated pages have been a liability for years. We write pages worth ranking, and none goes live until you approve it.
Geo-grid rank tracking
A single ranking number for a whole city is close to meaningless when local results change block by block. We track your position from a grid of points spread across your service area and show the result as a map, so it is obvious where you are in the top three and where you are nowhere. You see exactly which parts of town you own and which ones a competitor owns, and we target the gaps deliberately.
AI answer engine visibility
We monitor whether AI assistants recommend you when someone asks for a business like yours, which questions you appear for, and which sources those tools cite. Where you are missing, we know what to build.
Handled every month, not set up and abandoned
Listings drift, competitors add reviews, and Google changes how profiles work. The businesses that hold the map pack are the ones where somebody pays attention continuously.
- One consistent listing: the same name, address and phone number across directories and data aggregators.
- More reviews, answered: requests that go out automatically and replies that sound like a person wrote them.
- Pages for each location: multi-location businesses get a page and a profile per location, managed together.
- Reporting you understand: calls, direction requests, form fills and rankings, in plain language.
Our local SEO process: audit, fix, build, track
Audit. Before we change anything, we establish where you actually stand. We run a map grid scan of your core searches, review your Google Business Profile field by field, pull every citation we can find and flag the ones that disagree, compare your review volume, recency and response rate with the competitors ranking above you, and check the technical health of your site. You get the findings in plain language, including the parts that are working.
Fix. The first weeks are repair work: completing and correcting the profile, cleaning up wrong or duplicate listings, resolving conflicting business details, fixing page speed and mobile problems, and getting review requests flowing. This stage is unglamorous and often produces the fastest movement, because it removes what is holding you back rather than adding something new.
Build. Then we add local pages for the markets you want, content that answers the questions your customers ask before they buy, photos and posts that keep the profile fresh, and local relevance signals that make your business look established in the areas you serve. This is the compounding part, and it is why local SEO gets better the longer it runs.
Track. The morning brief and the monthly deck show movement across your service area on the grid, ranking changes for the searches that matter, calls and direction requests from your profile, new reviews and your average rating, form fills and where they came from, and a short written summary of what we did, what it moved and what is next. If something is not working, that is in the report too. You should never have to guess whether the work is earning its place.
Local SEO results from real engagements
One client tripled its click-through rate through local SEO and gained +2,040 ranking positions. A turf installer gained +1,719 ranking positions in its Minnesota territory, with more than 70% page-one visibility across its tracked keywords and eight keywords in the top ten. A cat resort improved site health by 35%, earned 70+ backlinks and gained +1,766 ranking positions.
Those are published numbers from real engagements, not projections. Every business starts from a different position, so the honest answer about your own market is the one that comes out of the audit.
Local SEO in Texas
Texas is not one local search market. Each of these cities has its own competition, its own search habits and its own definition of nearby.
Local SEO in Dallas
Dallas is dense, expensive and crowded with businesses chasing the same customers. Proximity alone will not carry a listing here, because a searcher downtown has dozens of options within a few miles. What separates the businesses in the map pack is a complete profile, review volume that keeps growing, and pages that speak to specific neighborhoods rather than the DFW area as a whole.
Local SEO in Fort Worth
Fort Worth behaves like its own market, not a suburb of Dallas. Customers search differently, competitors are different, and a campaign copied over from the Dallas side of the Metroplex usually underperforms. We treat it as a separate build with its own keywords, its own service area pages and its own review targets.
Local SEO in Plano
Plano is our home market. Between Legacy West, the Telecom Corridor and the established neighborhoods across Collin County, buying behavior shifts noticeably from one part of the city to another. Local pages that reflect those differences consistently outperform a single generic city page.
Local SEO in Frisco
Frisco keeps adding rooftops, and every new development brings new demand and new competitors. Rankings here move faster than in mature markets, which rewards businesses that keep their profile active with posts, photos and fresh reviews rather than setting it once and forgetting it.
Local SEO in McKinney
McKinney searches skew to the neighborhood level, and the map pack decides most of them. For service businesses that drive to the customer, the priority is ranking across the areas you actually cover, not only near your address, which is where a map grid earns its keep.
Local SEO in Houston
Houston is geographically enormous, so a single ranking number tells you almost nothing. A business can dominate inside the Loop and be invisible in Katy. We map visibility across the areas you serve and prioritize the ones where the work is worth the drive.
Local SEO in Austin
Austin is a review driven market. Customers read before they call, and businesses with recent, specific, well answered reviews win consideration before anyone visits a website. Review strategy is not a nice extra here. It is the ranking work.
Local SEO in San Antonio
San Antonio rewards businesses that get the fundamentals right, because many competitors still have incomplete profiles and inconsistent listings. Cleaning up citations and building out a real profile often produces visible movement earlier here than in tighter markets.
Local SEO outside Texas
We are headquartered in Plano and know the Metroplex well, but a large share of our clients are elsewhere. The same system runs for clients in every state, from one turf brand's eight territories stretching from Minnesota to Central Florida to single location practices well outside Texas. Only the map changes.
Local SEO for agencies
If you are an agency rather than a business owner, we run this program on a branded, reseller basis. You keep the client relationship, and the reporting carries your name.
Local SEO questions, answered.
How much do local SEO services cost at Digital Ingenuity?
Local SEO is part of the managed service, scoped to your business after a short audit call. Agencies and franchises get it for every client or location under their own name. That covers the map grid, the nightly audit, listings, AI visibility tracking and the morning brief, and Site Connect is included, so approved pages publish to your site with a live check. You can cancel any month, and your data and every page stay yours. For managed search, SearchLab Engineered™ adds a strategist, links and content at volume.
How long does local SEO take to show results?
Technical fixes usually show within weeks, and map rank across a whole territory typically moves over a quarter. Most businesses see their first ranking improvements within 60 to 90 days, with momentum building through months three to six. The fastest movement comes from profile and listing fixes and from review velocity, because Google can re-evaluate those signals quickly. Local pages and authority build more slowly and keep compounding for as long as the work continues.
What is a local SEO map grid?
A map grid is a set of rank checks at points around your location, so you see your rank where customers are, not where your office is. Ours runs 49 checks in a 7 by 7 pattern across the miles you serve, for every keyword that matters. One average number hides the truth: you can rank third from your own office and fourteenth two miles away. The grid shows which parts of town you own and which ones a competitor owns.
What is the difference between local SEO and regular SEO?
Local SEO targets searches with local intent: the map pack, Google Maps and searches like "near me" or "plumber in Frisco." Regular organic SEO targets broader searches that are not tied to a place. Most local businesses need both. Local SEO captures people who are ready to call someone nearby, while organic SEO builds the site authority that makes your local rankings sturdier.
How do you measure whether AI assistants recommend my business in local search?
Every week we ask the major AI assistants the questions your customers ask for your category and your city, then record which businesses get named and which pages they cite. That gives you the share of AI answers that mention you, tracked over time next to your map rank. When you are missing, it tells us which page, profile field or review theme needs work, and we write the pages the assistants actually cite.
Do you write and publish local SEO pages on my website?
Yes. New service and area pages are drafted from search demand, proposed in your morning brief, and published only after you approve them, with a live check and rollback. To publish, we use a connection to your site that you can revoke at any time. To measure your rank, audit your site and track AI answers, we need no access at all. Your data and every page stay yours if you cancel.
What is NAP consistency and why does it matter for local SEO?
NAP stands for name, address and phone number. Consistency means those three details are identical everywhere they appear online: your website, your Google Business Profile, directories, industry listings and the data aggregators that feed them. When they disagree, because of an old suite number, a tracking phone number or a former business name, search engines lose confidence that the listings describe the same business, and that doubt costs you map pack visibility. We sync them and catch any drift.
Can local SEO work for a business with multiple locations?
Yes, multi-location work is a large part of what we do. Each location gets its own profile, its own landing page and its own map grid, while strategy, review handling and reporting stay coordinated in one place. A regional manager sees one grid per location and one board for the group, with the weak territory obvious in a second. That keeps your locations from competing with each other in search and shows you which markets are performing.
