We Opened a Second Office in Downtown McKinneyIdea Stream Company News Digital Ingenuity October 2026

Digital Ingenuity has a second office. It is on East Davis Street in downtown McKinney, a few minutes’ walk southeast of the historic square, and it joins our office in Granite Park in Plano. I live in McKinney, so I will say it plainly: I am excited. This is my town, and now our team has a desk in it.

Here is why we chose McKinney, what is around each office, and what comes next.

    Why McKinney

We help local businesses get found, and we like being close to the ones near us. Until now, a McKinney owner who wanted to sit down with us in person drove south to Plano. Now we are a short walk from the square, and the Plano office is still there for everyone closer to it. You can read more about how we work with McKinney businesses.

North Texas keeps growing, and the numbers are hard to ignore. Collin County added 42,966 residents between July 2024 and July 2025, the second largest gain of any county in the United States, according to the Census Bureau. That puts the county up about 22 percent since April 2020. McKinney alone added 8,504 residents that year, the tenth largest gain of any U.S. city with at least 20,000 people.

New neighbors search for a plumber, a dentist and a place to eat. Helping local businesses show up in those searches is our daily work, and local search is easier to get right when you know the streets.

    Around our Plano office

Our Plano office is in Granite Park, a mix of office towers, a hotel, shops and restaurants with patios. The Boardwalk, the park’s collection of waterfront restaurants, is about a four minute walk from our door. It hosts a Friday Night Market, a Sunday Brunch Market and live music.

Legacy West, about three minutes by car, has shops and more than 20 restaurants. Legacy Hall, with more than 20 eateries and bars and a beer garden, is about a 12 minute walk.

When we need fresh air, Plano makes it easy. Arbor Hills Nature Preserve, about nine minutes by car, covers 200 acres on the city’s western edge with paved trails, natural trails and an off road bike trail. Windhaven Meadows Park, about six minutes by car, has ponds, nearly two miles of trail and a dog park. Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve, Plano’s largest park at 800 acres, is about 23 minutes by car, across town.

    Around our McKinney office

Our McKinney office is in a red brick building on East Davis Street. The courthouse at the center of the square is about a four minute walk. The square dates to 1848, and the city’s Main Street program counts more than two dozen locally owned restaurants downtown.

Food is the easy part. Harvest, in The Masonic on North Kentucky Street, cooks farm to table. Patina Green Home and Market pairs lunch with a home goods shop on the square. Fontina Ristorante serves Italian, Sugarbacon Proper Kitchen serves brunch on weekends, and Emporium Pies is a pie shop, which is all you need to know. For coffee, Filtered Coffee Shop on East Louisiana Street is about four minutes on foot.

Tupps Brewery is about a five minute walk, in a restored grain mill on East Louisiana Street, with a taproom, live music and a restaurant called The Grain Room. One name sits near both of our offices: Union Bear Brewing Co. has a spot on The Boardwalk at Granite Park and another on West Virginia Street in downtown McKinney.

Saturday mornings belong to the McKinney Farmers Market, open year round at Chestnut Square, about two minutes on foot from our office. Chestnut Square itself is a heritage village with guided tours and a museum.

One landmark is taking a break. The 1874 courthouse, home of the McKinney Performing Arts Center, closed this year for a renovation. We are looking forward to the day it reopens.

Farther out, Towne Lake Park, about four minutes by car, has a pond with kayak rentals, an 18 hole disc golf course and a 1.1 mile loop. The Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary, about ten minutes by car, has a 289 acre sanctuary with more than six and a half miles of trails.

    What a visit looks like

Both offices work by appointment. Call us, tell us which office is closer, and we will set a time. Coffee is on us. We put your numbers on the screen, there is no deck, and it takes fifteen minutes. You leave with the audit whether or not we ever speak again.

    More coming soon

McKinney is our second location, and it will not be our last. More are coming. We are not ready to say where or when. When we are, you will read it here.
